Multi-vehicle Accident on I-65 NB Causes Diesel Fuel Spill

A multiple vehicle crash caused a hazardous fuel spill.

Saraland, Alabama (December 12, 2018)- Wednesday evening, there was a multi-vehicle accident involving a hazardous spill.

The crash occurred northbound on Interstate 65 at Highway 158, just south of exit 13. Three vehicles were involved in the incident, including an 18- wheeler.

A Haz-mat team came to the scene to clean up a diesel fuel spill. The Saraland Fire Department was there also. Currently, officials have given no word on the extent of any injuries. However, there were no fatalities.

The following investigation shut down the northbound lanes for over three hours. Authorities asked drivers to exit Highway 45 and also West Lee Street.
